Nothing, the u-pick is a free bonus for all Full Plate CSA members. U-pick crops/access are not available to the public.
U-pick crops are not factored into the cost of your share—they’re a bonus! The CSA is priced solely on the harvested portion of the share (a $1,000+ value alone), so you get a great value whether you use the u-pick or not.
-
There are no set limits on u-pick crops. Take what you’ll use BUT please be mindful of leaving abundance for all those who pick behind you (i.e. do not pick plants clean)
We welcome you to use the u-pick for some small batch preserving, but if you’re looking to preserve and stock yourself up for the winter, the u-pick is not the place to go. Reach out and we’d be glad to hook you up with wholesale pricing on bulk produce for all your preserving needs.

The Youth Farm is no longer stewarding the land here in Danby, but we’ve teamed up with the Ithaca Waldorf School to continue to offer a u-pick garden on this land that was once home to Three Swallows Farm, one of our Collective’s founding farms.
We appreciate folks understanding that the gardens may look different than in the past as we work to upkeep crops on a farm that is not regularly staffed.
